Synopsis for "Touch of Death"

A gravedigger digs up the undead spirit of a black magician who allows him one wish in return for releasing him from his coffin. The miserly digger wishes for a touch like Midas, only instead of gold, he wants everything he touches to turn to cash. The magician tells him that he's a fool, but grants his wish. The digger suffers the same fate as Midas as he grows hungry with nothing to eat around him but cash.

Synopsis for "When Time Stood Still"

A scientist invents a time bomb which immobilizes people for 24 hours which he uses to commit bank robberies but the police catch him by figuring he must be one of the employees working at the institute for the advanced study of time and giving all the employees a chemical test to indicate food consumption within the last 24 hours and he is singled out.

Synopsis for "Behind the Mask"

Impoverished painter Charles is enjoying Mardi Gras with a mask he convinced a mask maker to let him borrow for the evening and return later. The man is modeled after a wealthy businessman who's disappeared and Charles is so successful in fooling people that he decides to stand in for the missing man. Eventually the mask maker returns demanding payment and Charles doesn't want to give up his newfound wealth so he ties up the mask maker planning to kill him but the mask maker gets loose and uses a mask to fool the servants. Once more he confronts Charles saying that he needs to pay for the mask and cuts off Charles' face to sell to another customer at his shop.

Synopsis for "The Ink Blots!"

Huber is a mute who works as Goro's magician assistant until he stabs Goro in order to steal his magic wand. Goro warns Huber with his dying breath that it won't work for him because he is evil and the ill Huber learns this when he orders the wand to write on a doctor's notepad the medication he needs to survive and the wand only dots the notepad with ink blots.
