Notes
- Cover art: originally from the promotional poster for the 1982 Conan the Barbarian movie.
- Though the issue is the adaptation of the Conan the Barbarian movie, it has a few differences, including both omissions and changes:
- Conan is depicted closer to his comics version's appearance than of his movie version, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
- Conan's use of weapons-gauntlets is limited to single combat, when they become his primary weapons in the movie.
- The part on Conan's education is drastically reduced, not mentioning that his knowledge included "the poetry of Khitai" or "the philosophy of Sung" (Sung is not a known Hyborian location, but might be a reference to the Cthulhu Mythos location known as the Plateau of Sung, or the surrounding Sung Region, created in "The Horror from the Hills" (1963) by Frank Belknap Long), and not showing Conan being given women, nor mentioning it was in a breeding perspective.
- Conan escape after an earthquake, instead of being freed by his Vanir master.
- The skeleton of the giant warrior doesn't move, like in the movie (which hints that it might be alive, like in The Thing in the Crypt.
- Subotai states he is of the "Great Order of Kerlait", instead of "Kurlit".
- The two final battles are merged into one, with Conan killing Thulsa Doom just after Subotai saved the princess from the serpent-arrow.
