History

Louise Hastings was born in Barbados, and raised in England. An archaeologist, she was a professor at Oxford University. She had been married many times. Dr. Hastings was acquainted with Grant Whittaker and Janet Lyton, the archeologists who discovered the entombed Modred the Mystic.

As a member of the Darkhold Redeemers, Louise Hastings fought Darkhold Cultists who wanted to collect the missing pages of the book of sins for their own ends. On a plane returning from Maui, she encountered her daughter, Caprice, for the first time in 18 years, and upon Caprice's death, she became the guardian of her grandson, William, who preferred to be called Jinx She spent part of her career fighting the Lilin and other occult or demonic forces, usually alongside Ghost Rider and the other Midnight Sons. In order to resurrect her friends, she read a pages of the Darkhold that reversed the "Page of the Demogorge." This action cost her her soul. During the Siege of Darkness, she was killed by Morbius who was possessed by the Lilin Bloodthirst.
