Synopsis
Iron Man tries to help Warbird (Carol Danvers) get over her alcoholism, which she got due to her power loss. However, Warbird is acting very confrontational and reckless and refuses any help. The two then accidentally uncover the Kree Lunatic Legion, who are using a power plant to get a generator for some kind of plan. Iron Man is forced to stay behind and help the civilians while Warbird pursues the Kree to Cape Canaveral, where the Kree are experimenting on humans. They capture Warbird and experiment on her too, but not before she calls Captain America to come help. Captain America frees Warbird and the other prisoners, but Warbird again leaves the civilians behind to pursue the Kree to their base on the Moon.
Warbird is captured again, forcing Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver to go save her while the other Avengers regroup. They ultimately save Warbird, and learn from the Kree Supreme Intelligence that the Lunatic Legion are planning to use an Omni-Wave Projector to convert every human on Earth into a Kree. The group is able to destroy the generator powering the Projector, but Warbird's recklessness almost gets everyone killed.
Back on Earth, the Avengers hold a tribunal to determine whether or not Warbird should stay on the Avengers. They want to give her a chance, but Warbird blames everything on the Avengers and refuses to accept responsibility for what she's done, so the Avengers kick her out. They then get a message from the Supreme Intelligence that the Lunatic Legion are planning to convert themselves into energy to power the Omni-Wave Projector, so the Avengers bring Justice and Firestar out of reserves and return to the Moon. The two new recruits are able to destroy the Projector for good, while Warbird can't even make it into space to help.
