Karolina Dean's history mirrors her Earth-616 counterpart's up to the point when she and the other Runaways escaped protective custody.[1]
While she and her teammates were hiding out at Griffith Observatory, they were approached by Iron Lad and askded them to become the Young Avengers. However, Iron Lad was actually Victorious in disguise as part of his plan to kill the young heroes before they posed a threat to him.[2]
Arsenic and Old Lace uncovered Victorious' deception.[3] A confrontation occurred, leading to the deaths of Victorious and Iron Lad.[4] The team chose to remain together, and Arsenic took over leadership.[5]
