History
After Reed Richards was executed on Lilandra's order, Gladiator questioned her about it. For questioning her decisions, Llandra ordered Gladiator to leave Chandilar on a leave of absence. While he was away, the remaining members of the Fantastic Four accidentally destroyed the Shi'ar throneworld with a Skrull saucer that they had equipped with Annihilus' Cosmic Control Rod.
Gladiator was left as the only surviving Shi'ar representative and he quickly called an intergalactic council. He rallied the other alien races to attack Earth in retaliation. However, upon witnessing the remaining Fantastic Four members sacrifise themselves to save the council from the Skrull's Omni-Wave Projector, Gladiator called off the attack. He then telepathically contacted Earth and announced that they were once again even.
