In the modern day the creature is located in a museum until some playing children trigger the stud once more. That evening Gomdulla breaks out of the museum and recruits a high priest to set up a cult in order to acquire tribute. A man tries to arrest the high priest but Gomdulla interferes. The police officer is helpless before Gomdulla's ability to levitate and hurl the stones of the pyramid themselves and just before Gomdulla administers the fatal blow, the high priest throws himself against the foot stud in an effort to save the man's life. It works, and the priest tells him that he was not serving Gomdulla voluntarily, but out of fear of what he would do to the local populace.
