Synopsis for "I Unleashed Shagg Upon the World!"Edit

An explorer pulls a switch in some ruins uncovered by a recent sandstorm which brings the sphinx to life. It turns out that the sphinx is actually a robot warrior placed upon Earth to wait for the right moment to strike. He scoops up the hapless human and deposits him inside the mechanism, then swims (?) to Paris and destroys the Eiffel Tower. Next, Shagg swims to New York City and lays waste to it. During the carnage, Shagg is describing the invasion plans to the captive man when he mentions his fellow warriors freeing him from his centuries long slumber. The man interrupts with the revelation that his fellow warriors did not pull the switch, he did. Shagg is enraged, because he knows he cannot defeat an entire world armed with nuclear weapons by himself, and he uses cosmo-gamma electro-magnetic waves to undo all the damage he's done and make people forget about the events of the last few hours so he can go back into stealth mode. When the explorer regains consciousness lying next to the sphinx, he has no idea what has occurred until he reads his notebook he wrote while a captive of the sphinx. He hopes the record of events produced in his notebook are merely the result of a moment of madness.

Synopsis for "The Revenge of the Wooden Woman"Edit

Journey into Mystery Vol 1 59 015
A sea captain who has fashioned a wooden woman after the image of his dead wife for the front of his ship is attacked by pirates who leave them adrift on the open sea. The ship does not respond to the pirate's attempts to steer it and instead heads into a storm where it founders upon the rocks, casting the pirates into the surf. Then, the wooden lady is sighted by another vessel where it floats against the current leading the vessel back to the raft where her captain and crew have been abandoned. Its task accomplished, the wooden lady sinks beneath the waves with a smile upon her face.
