John Joseph "Tommy" Maguire was the dean of the students at the University of Chicago.
When Kitty Pryde assaulted Jeff Holloway, a Purity activist, and sparked a riot during which she knock off all the others Purity members as well, the dean decided to put a sanction on Pryde, despite the intervention of Dylan Maguire. She was put on academic probation, and had to undergo mandatory psychological counselling, with Maureen Lyszinski as her shrink.Notes
