Faithful John is a member of the Clan Askani from a future where X-Men student Genesis ascended to the throne of Apocalypse. Putting the blame on Wolverine, because of his lack luster way of teaching, John traveled back into the past to help Edan Younge create the Phoenix Corporation in hopes that young Quentin Quire would realize the threat Evan poses to the world, so he could embrace his destiny to become the next Phoenix host.[2]

Using his telepathy on Storm

John was then confronted by Wolverine and Storm at the Phoenix Corporation in hopes to retrieve Quire but John used his telepathic abilities on Wolverine showing him glimpses of his future which totally incapacitated Logan and making Storm relive her past and her claustrophobia. Although she broke free of the images, John then made his way to the Jean Grey School to confront the remaining students.[1]

Powers

Telepathy: Faithful John possesses mental powers to affect and manipulate the minds of other sentient beings. He can read minds and communicate mentally with others over long distances.

  • Telepathic Illusions: He can also project his own thoughts and illusions into the minds of others creating very realistic versions of his memories which causes a psionic feedback which incapacitates his opponents.
  • Psionic Constructs: John can use the psychic planes energies to construct its mental energy into various shapes and forms be them weapons or otherwise. Due to the nature of said energy the psi forms are purely ethereal having no physical sway, but that doesn't make them any less effective offense wise. He can create Psionic Swords.
