Joe Dix is the young brother of Sargent Jeff Dix. In 1942, he was working in national defense but also got involved with a local small time crook named Ed Delaney. When his brother Jeff returned home and learned of his brother's involvement with the crook, Joe refused to discuss the matter with his elder brother. Joe was later convinced by Ed to help rob the box office receipts from a recent USO dance fundraiser. When Jeff trailed his young brother and attempted to stop the robbery, Joe realized the errors of his ways and helped his brother fight off Ed and his gang. In the aftermath of the fight, Joe joined the military much to the pride of his brother and mother.[1]
Joe was last seen wishing he could join his brother Jeff, when the elder brother was posted on a battleship located out on the Panama Canal.[2]
