He became possessed by a demon, under the orders of Thog the Nether-Spawn, and was used to seemingly bring Jennifer, Joshua, and Andrew Kale, along with Man-Thing, to Sominus (but it was actually just a vast psychic mirage). The plan was to get Man-Thing to kill all three Kales but when it failed and the five were released from the illusion, Man-Thing burnt the spirit from Jaxon's body, freeing Jaxon from demonic control.[127] Jaxon continued to date Jennifer until one night, after he'd brought her home and was leaving, when she hallucinated seeing something on his back.[128] The two subsequently broke up, and Jaxon was later hired by Doctor Strange to guide him and Madeleine St. Germaine to the Kale place where they were attacked on arrival by the Man-Thing who was being controlled by Baron Mordo.[129] Jaxon, Jennifer, Joshua, Andy, and Madeleine were among the twelve people who died at the hands of the demon summoned by Mordo but were restored to life when the Man-Thing, the intended thirteenth sacrifice, was able to break the spell before it could be completed.[130] | |
