History
This creature was a magical giant Jinni under the control of Mogul of the Mystic Mountain. He first appeared when Mogul summoned him to take him to back to his hideout in the Mystic Mountain after fighting Thor and the Warriors Three.[3] When the four Asgardians were close to the Mystic Mountain, Mogul sent Jinni to destroy them.[1] The Asgardians managed to hold off Jinni until nightfall when Jinni was turned into smoke by the approaching darkness.[2]
Jinni was later summoned by Mogul as part of his force to invade Asgard. Thor fought Jinni and was struck down. Before Jinni could finish him off, Thor summoned clouds that blocked out the sunlight, causing Jinni to be turned into smoke by the darkness.[4] His current whereabouts are unknown.Attributes
Powers
- Superhuman Strength: Jinni possesses vast strength. He is strong enough to rival the strength of the god Thor, meaning he can lift an excess of 100 tons.
- Superhuman Durability: Jinni is superhumanly durable. He has withstood blows from Thor without being fazed or injured.
- Superhuman Stamina: Jinni can fight for long periods of time before fatigue sets in.
- Size Alteration: Jinni can alter his own size at will, including the ability to increase his size, which increases his already substantial strength and durability.
- Flight: Jinni is able to fly through unrevealed means, probably using magic.
- Magic: Like all Djinn, Jinni is able to use magic. The only example of magic he has demonstrated, though, is the ability to produce concussive energy blasts.
Weaknesses
Jinni must flee before the shadow of night if he has yet to claim victory. Otherwise, he would be turned into smoke.[2] Darkness created from thick cloud cover can also affect him.[4]
