Big Jim Peterson was a crooked politician who was accused of grafting[2]. Representing the prosecution during his trial was district attorney Carl Burgess who was secretly the costumed vigilante known as the Falcon. During a recess period of the court case, Carl learned that the wealthy Paul Bankhead was kidnapped by men seeking a ransom. Going into action as the Falcon, Burgess stopped them and learned that they were affiliated with Peterson. Their kidnapping was an attempt to get enough money to fund springing their employer. With this plot foiled, Peterson was found guilty of his crimes and sent to prison.[1]
