History
Prior to her recruitment into S.H.I.E.L.D. Jessica Drew spent years in suspended animation due to suffering uranium poisoning in 1931, being treated with an experimental spider-serum and genetic accelerator. She recovered just in time to see Magneto begin his mutant revolution. When Jessica discovered she had developed special abilities, she used her abilities for good, but she did not seem commit to mutantkind or humankind.
Jessica Drew was one of the first super-powered members recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury, but she did not complete her training in time to be a factor between humans and mutants. Jessica was promoted to active status just in time to be placed in Red Guard by new S.H.I.E.L.D Director Sebastian Shaw. In the news, she was declared a human super-operative and a example of what humans can accomplish. Some view her as token "human" on the team, but the Red Guard knows her worth and treats her as an equal.[1][2]Attributes
