History
The past history of James Petrie of Earth-79816 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart. Just like on Earth-616, James Petrie would be murdered in his sleep by Shang-Chi, the son of his constant foe Fu Manchu. However, in this reality, Petrie's ally Sir Nayland Smith would not discover his body until after Shang-Chi left the scene of the murder. As such, Shang-Chi would remain loyal to his father for a longer period than he did on Earth-616.
