History

Jake Grimm was one of twins born to Ben Grimm and Sharon Ventura. Like his father but unlike his sister, Jake could not turn off his cosmically mutated state, which strongly resembled the Thing's hide. When Ben and Sharon divorced, Alyce and Jake lived with their mother for a time before returning to New York in the hopes of joining the Fantastic Five.

Grim and Rad trained with their "cousins" Franklin Richards, Torus Storm, and Kristoff Vernard. They were joined by Spider-Girl in fighting off Apox the Omega-Skrull. When Reed Richards was forced to retire from the F5, Grim stepped up to become a full member of the group.
