Solicit Synopsis:Edit

It starts as a simple headache. But it's one that just won't stop! Rhodey realizes he must get help for his mysterious malady — from disgraced Avenger Henry Pym! Meanwhile, the West Coast Avengers are desperately trying to find the original Iron Man — who is lost at sea!

  • The creature seen in the beginning of this issue is the famous mutated dinosaur known as Godzilla. This is technically Godzilla's final appearance, though a creature who resembles Godzilla is seen in the pages of Mighty Avengers #1.
  • This issue contains a letters page "Printed Circuits". The "Howard Mackie Picture Contest Winners" are depicted. This page also contains a "Statement of Ownership, Management, and Circulation".
  • This issue is reprinted in comics and books, see references for more info.[2]

  • Throughout 1985, a masked villain known only as the "Scourge of the Underworld" assumed various identities and targeted members of the superhuman community, ultimately assassinating them. Scourge's murders took place in various titles and culminated in Captain America #319.
  • The cover of this issue is somewhat reminiscent of Iron Man's "Tales of Suspense" covers such as this one.
