Synopsis for "Terror in Tulaluma!"
Tony Stark, Morley Erwin, and Clytemnestra Erwin are driving Clytemnestra's Car through California when they encounter an angry mob chasing a desperate woman. They give her a ride to escape the mob and she suggests that they’re chasing her because they’ve accused her of killing the town’s sheriff but she insists she’s innocent.
Iron Man is meanwhile trying to salvage any of his belongings from the destroyed moving truck.[1] He returns to the gas station where he had the truck’s tires repaired and rescues the couple who are being threatened by two of Aquarius’s henchmen. He takes them to a nearby police station and is casually spending time with the policemen while Stark, the Erwins, and the rescued woman try to hide in a barn where they encounter men with guns who plan to take them back to town but are finally rescued by Iron Man before they are able to drive off.
The woman leads them to an isolated rural house where she promises them rest and refreshment but upon entering, a trap door dumps them into a room where they encounter Aquarius and his cronies while Iron Man is trapped in the field of a special device acquired by Aquarius. Aquarius locks up the captives and begins to fill the room with water as Iron Man remains helplessly trapped in the field but Tony tells Rhodes that he can use high frequency broadcasts from the suit to disrupt the field’s circuitry. The plan works and he’s able to rescue them from the quickly flooding room.
Iron Man tracks down the fleeing Aquarius and his crew and hands them to police. Later at a motel, Tony uses the Iron Man helmet to call Nick Fury to go handle the Zodiac while Rhodes finds Stark’s use of the Iron Man outfit highly upsetting.
