History

Like all machines, HERBIE failed to succumb to the corrupting influence of the Many-Angled Ones after they made their deal with Mar-Vell. Joining several other robots in the Machine Resistance, the group fought against the corrupted organics, but found themselves overwhelmed and went into hiding on the moon Titan, under the watchful eye of ISAAC. He was present when Vision brought the extradimensional Thanos and the Guardians of the Galaxy to their headquarters in hopes of harnessing Thanos' ability to bring permanent death to the Cancerverse's denizens and expunge the corrupting influence.
