History

Herkimer J. Oglethorpe was a diminutive wrestling promoter who worked out of Kowalski's gym. The small time promoter soon found himself a pawn by the Roxxon Energy Corporation's Nth Command which was seeking to infiltrate the facilities of Project PEGASUS. To this end they orchestrated events wherein Oglethorpe -- who frequently weltched on bets -- was to be roughed up by someone who owed him money. This happened just as the Femazonian warrior known as Thundra was passing by. As expected, Thundra fought off Herkimer's attacker, and she accepted his offer to be one of his wrestlers. [1]

Taking her back to Kowalski's Gym, Herkimer was more than impressed to see his new clients strengths when she single handedly defeateded the female wrestling troupe known as the Grapplers. Although this proved to be a cause for concern since Thundra's superior strength would cause insurance issues due to the fact that his liabilities insurance was recently terminated. [2] Oglethorpe organized a match at Madison Square Garden between Thundra and Titania. Herkimer placed bets on his client to win, but Thundra lost when Titania was able to secretly drug her foe and defeat her. [3] In order to square off Herkimer's debts, Thundra was forced to agree to work for Roxxon and assist the Grapplers in breaking into the Project PEGASUS facility, but they were all captured. [4]

While Thundra was in custody, Herkimer took on a new client, the super-man known as Hyperion. Although Oglethorpe was happy to see Thundra return, Hyperion was less than impressed. [5] The two came to blows until Herkimer suggested that they work together as a tag-team match. Both combatants agreed, however Hyperion was also secretly an agent of Roxxon seeking to get Thundra into the hands of her employers. [6] Hyperion later helped Thundra betray Roxxon by obtaining a Nth Projector that would allow her to return to her native reality. [7] Oglethorpe's subsequent activities after he lost his two best clients is unknown.
