Synopsis for "The Possession of Jenny Christopher"Edit

Harlem: Priest Michael Christoper is leaving his pregnant wife Charlotte is leaving on a trip to help fight for equal rights between blacks and whites. Before going, he tells her to protect their unborn child, Jenny, from evil. After his flight leaves, it suddenly crashes, killing him and widowing Charlotte.

As Charlotte deals with being a widowed mother and eventually giving birth to her Jenny, Desadia meanwhile has been unable to find Gabriel who has been missing for weeks. She ultimately finds him in a bar, having spent the last week doing nothing more than drinking because of the pressure of being a exorcist and constantly being attacked by demonic forces.

Meanwhile, Charlotte is horrified to find that her daughter has been possessed by a demon -- although is reluctant to believe her daughter is truly possessed. Taking the child to her doctor, the man calls in Gabriel for assistance. Upon learning that Gabriel is an exorcist she tries to throw him out, but has second thoughts when she disrupts his eye patch and sees his empty eye socket.

Confronting the demon, Gabriel is forced to confront not only the demonic power, but also the monsters insight in humanities lack of compassion when it comes to race. Gabriel defeats the demon, but getting Charlotte not only to show love towards her possessed child, but also be able to show love to him, in spite of both being from two different ethnic backgrounds. This display of love is powerful enough to dispell the demon, and free Jenny from the monsters control.

Synopsis for "If This Be Hell...?"Edit

Continuing her search for Miles Gornery, Satana learns from the demon Agathon that Gornery had captured Michael Heron. After learning this Satana is blasted unconscious and taken to Gornery. During the battle, Heron and Agathon are killed, and Gornery is revealed to be Satan himself.

Explaining that her past trials were all to test her loyalty, and that he's furious that she allowed Heron to die without consuming his soul, Satan banishes her from Hell for the rest of her mortal life.

  • This is the final issue of Haunt of Horror, although there was another issue planned the series was canceled.
  • Due to the series cancellation, the further adventures of Satana continue in Marvel Premiere #27.
