History
The exact origin of the Forever Man is unknown, but everytime he died he was reborn into a newborn infant, unaware of this fact. The first known instance was an Englishman named Gideon Smith in 1792, who was informed by an Indian fortune-teller of his past lives and the only way to stop this process was to meet the "dead-man". A few days later, Gideon Smith died, and he was reborn as the Irishman Patrick O'Reilly. This was followed by American Franklin Pomeranze, Frenchman Roger Roger Perry-van DuMann, California-born Clark Jackson, and most recently New Yorker Gideon Smith.
Gideon had a regular life until one day he had a vision of "the dead man" which for unknown reasons, haunted him. On a trip to Boston he was hit by a car and hospitalized. Gideon was housed in the same hospital room as Dracula who, due to being badly burnt by a cross, had his face covered by bandages. When Dracula's bandages were removed, the Forever Man saw the face of the "dead-man" which put Gideon into a catatonic state.[1]Attributes
Powers
Gideon was continually reincarnated into a newborn at the instant of his death. He remembers little from his past lives during the current one.
