History

G'uran the Great lived in the Dark Dimension many thousands of years ago. He was one of the Mhuruuks, natives of the Dark Dimension who were able to manipulate its ambient mystic energies. By the time G'uran was born, the Mhuruuks had gained spiritual and temporal power and were the leaders of their respective species and peoples. However, the Mhuruuks were not a unified group and when wars were fought Mhurruks on opposing sides would fight each other.

As civilization continued to evolve, alliances between various cities were formed and empires arose from those alliances. The foremost of these empires was the G'uranthic Empire, founded and led by G'uran the Great. During his reign, G'uran established the Azure Throne and created the huge G'uranthic Guardian to serve as its protector. However, G'uran was never able to become the sole ruler of the Dark Dimension and wars continued to be fought.[1]

Generations later, a descendant of G'uran named Oka'an was able to lead the Mhuruuks to agree to a lasting peace. This resulted in a golden age of peace and security that lasted for 28 "great" cycles (the equivalent of 28,000 Earth years) during which the now-unified Dark Dimension was ruled from the Azure Throne by a series of wizard-kings.[1]

Oka'an, Olnar, Orini, and Clea are all descendents of G'uran.[2]
