Frederick von Banger was a member of the Nazi's Gestapo during World War II. He was stationed in Strohm Prison when Keen Marlow broke into its walls to report on prison conditions for his news company. Banger believing him to be a spy had him thrown in the dungeons where Marlow met with Professor Eric Schmitt who gifted Marlow a deviation of the Super-Soldier Serum. Marlow with increased abilities freed the prisoners and escaped from the prison to become the Destroyer.[1]
