History
After Franklin's father Reed was executed by the Shi'ar, the remaining Fantastic Four members tried gaining revenge and accidentally destroyed the Shi'ar throneworld. Upon returning to Earth, Franklin asked his mother why they didn't just apologize. Once Sue had thought of the idea, she, Johnny and Ben returned into space to apologize. However, once there, they discovered a Skrull plot to kill all the other races with the Omni-Wave Projector. They sacrifised themselves to destroy their weapon and left Franklin as an orphan.
