Yotat (Earth-616) from Guardians of Knowhere Vol 1 2 001

Yotat prior to transformation.

One night at Mafuni's, Yotat overheard two Brood half-breeds telling his boss, Jugando, that they had allegedly killed The Collector and stolen his weapons collection.

Yotat used the information to uncover the weapons cache, and then attempted to trade them to another mob boss, Giogo, in exchange for membership in his organization. Giogo had other ideas; however, and betrayed Yotat, shooting him and leaving him for dead as he blew up the weapons depot with Yotat inside it.[1]

Guardians of Knowhere[]

Somehow Yotat survived and was transformed by the explosion, then sometime after the Multiverse was destroyed by incursions and recreated in the form of Battleworld, Yotat caught up to Giogo at Cebulski's Bar on Knowhere. After killing the man who betrayed him, Yotat was confronted by Rocket Raccoon. Rocket attempted to execute Yotat for what he viewed as murder, only to see his blast have no effect. Drax the Destroyer then rescued Rocket Raccoon, by knocking Yotat unconscious, and the Nova Corps arrived to take him into custody.[1]

After a few months, Yotat attacked Drax yet again, this time blowing up Mantis' apartment. Despite Gamora being present as well, he eventually defeated the Guardians anyway.[2]

Yotat was about to execute Drax; however, a Thor Corps member arrived and saved Drax by striking the villain with a lightning bolt. Her intervention allowed Drax to recover and attack Yotat, weakening him enough for a second attack from Angela to finally defeat him. The Nova Corps then appeared on the scene to take Yotat into custody once more, as they had previously failed to subdue him during his first encounter with Drax, and he had killed Moondragon upon escape.[3]

All-New, All-Different Marvel[]

After Earth-616 was restored, Yotat tried to track Drax from Knowhere by interrogating his weapons supplier, but received word from one of his minions that Hala was attacking Spartax. Before leaving, he met a Brood who was sent from its Queen to arrange a meeting with Yotat.[4] After the Guardians of the Galaxy defeated Hala, Yotat arrived on Spartax and attacked them.[5]
