Synopsis for "Thanos Returns"
In Thanos’s absence, Corvus Glaive has seized control of his armies and his base of operations, continuing the conquest of planets. Thanos suddenly returns, however, and brutally fights his way into Glaive’s presence, defeats him, and forces him then to commit suicide.
Elsewhere, the Champion locates Starfox and compels him to return to Titan with him, saying that Thane has requested the presence of both of them. Champion says he is about to embark on his greatest challenge yet, the murder of Thanos.
On Titan, Thane awaits their arrival and is visited by Death, who assures him of his coming success against Thanos. Thane does not trust her, so she tells him a secret that only she knows – Thanos is dying. On his throne, Thanos too realizes this, as blood pours from his nose and mouth after his battle with Glaive.
