History

The man who became known as Silent Claw was a circus performer who operated under the stage named of Jason the Great and worked with a female partner. At some point in 1956, Jason went insane due to unknown circumstances. Finding a resemblance to his former circus partner and the African adventurer known as Lorna the Jungle Girl, Jason travelled to the jungles of Africa to kill her and all the animals he found there. To this end, he developed a glove fashioned after the claw of a feline predator and coated the claws with a lethal poison and began attacking anything that he crossed paths with. To the local natives and white hunter Greg Knight, the stalker became known as the Silent Claw.

Learning of the "creature's" existence, Lorna went out looking for the Silent Claw herself, encountering him as he was attempting to attack a leopard. Lorna then gathered some animals and sent Jason fleeing into the jungles. Silent Claw plotted revenge but ultimately fell asleep in the jungles, leaving himself open for attack. Finding him, Lorna quickly removed the slumbering maniac's weapon and easily defeated him in combat. She then turned him over to a doctor who explained Jason's origins to her and Greg Knight, and he was effectively cured of his insanity.[1] Jason's subsequent fate is unknown.
