Synopsis for "Prologue: 1956 - "The Invaders from the Future""
In the year 1981, 25 years in the future, Kommandant Garrer of the Science Gestapo and his Atomic Storm Troopers are plotting to head back in time, as the United Earth Government always foils their plans of world domination. Using their Chrono-Cruisers, they head back in time to the year 1956, knowing that humanity has not advanced to their technical superiority.
In 1956, Johnny Bates is heading back to the orphanage when he sees the Chrono-Cruisers landing in the distance. Heading over to investigate, Johnny finds the Science Gestapo threatening the locals with their Exon Rays. Johnny turns into Kid Miracleman and confronts them, as he is immune to their weapons. As he continues fighting, however, he is quickly outnumbered.
Realizing he needs help, Johnny quickly flies off to find Dicky Dauntless, who is in the middle of work. He becomes Young Miracleman, and Johnny explains the situation on the way back. They decide to interrogate one of the invaders, who explains that they are from the future and that their weapons can turn cities into dust, as both Paris and Saigon are shown being conquered. Meanwhile, at the Daily Bugle, Micky Moran learns of these events, and becomes Miracleman.
He arrives to help Kid Miracleman, Young Miracleman, and the Army hold off the Science Gestapo. They manage to subdue the invaders, and the Miracleman Family splits up to reclaim the other territories. However, Garrer manages to escape thanks to his rare Magnetic Gases, and the invasion resumes. When the Miracleman Family returns, Garrer has the Chrono-Cruisers destroyed, stranding them in the past. He explains that he'll have his reinforcements do the same, as to prevent them from being sent back to the future.
As the number of invaders grows, Miracleman gets an idea. While Kid Miracleman stays and holds off the Science Gestapo, he and Young Miracleman use their atomic speed to go to the year 1981, before Garrer can begin his invasion. They destroy the Chrono-Cruisers before they can be used, stopping the invasion before it had a chance to begin. Garrer and his forces are arrested by the World Police, and the two heroes fly back to 1956, where the invaders have disappeared. They explain to Kid Miracleman what happened, while jokingly questioning if it really happened at all.
