History

D.C.1.

When something befell the Design Chief's daughter Joya, Ulysses Klaw offered to save her in return for being allowed to use her as a conduit for the Scream, which would erase the Earth's computer systems and allow it to be remade in their image. Wanting to see his daughter healthy again, D.C.1. was powerless to stop his A.I.M. superiors collaborating with Klaw to transform her into something beyond human.

Ultimately regretting what he had allowed to happen to his daughter, however, the Design Chief allied himself with the Black Panther to help foil Klaw's plan.
