History

Arthur Mansfield was "Moose" Mansfield's father and a local FDNY fireman. After losing his wife to cancer, Arthur was also diagnosed with cancer.

His son was temporarily possessed by the Carnage symbiote, which claimed to be capable of curing cancer. Spider-Girl prevented Carnage from bonding a new symbiote to Arthur, however, for fear of the monster it would unleash.
