History
Farbauti is the biological mother of Loki, whom she conceived with Odin as part of a peace offering between Asgard and Jotunheim. She ordered Loki to steal the Norn Stones, leading to Loki's banishment from Asgard.[1]
Trivia
- In Norse Mythology, the name Farbauti was given in fact to Loki's father, not his mother. Similarly, the Earth-616 version of Laufey, who is Loki's biological father, shares his name with Loki's mother in the Norse legends.
