20th Century[]

Ethiopia was the birthplace of Chandi who eventually became the assistant of British mad scientist Basil Drake, who experimented on Chandi with his invisibility formula before both were slain by Electro.[1]

When World War II began to spill into the African continent, the Nazis and Fascist Italy saw Ethiopia as strategic advantage to combat British forces in the area. An attempt to build a military base in the region was opposed by jungle adventurer Ka-Zar who led an army of animals in an attack on the compound, destroying it.[2]

Pre-Modern Era[]

As a young Storm, traveled to Ethiopia and stumbled upon a group of white men attacking a young T'Challa. Using her powers, she intervened and saved the young prince. However, Andreas de Ruyter, the leader of the group, revealed his intention to capture T'Challa and bring him back to South Africa in order to use his influence to control the Vibranium-rich nation of Wakanda from afar. T'Challa bravely fought against Andreas, but when the villain pulled out a gun, Storm used her powers to blast it with lightning. She then quickly grabbed T'Challa and flew away to safety.[3]

Emma then revealed that she had located Hope in K'un-Lun. With this information, Cyclops took off, leaving Emma unsure of her next actions.[5]
