History
Origin
When Eric Brooks' mother was killed by a bloodthirsty vampire during his birth, the blood of the newborn Brooks was infused with vampiric enzymes that turned him into a Dhampir, a human/vampire hybrid. Possessing all the powers of a vampire but none of their weaknesses, he eventually became the vampire hunter known as Blade.[1]
Contest of Champions
At some point, Blade was captured and taken to Battlerealm to participate the Contest of Champions.
Blades
Some time after his arrival in Battlerealm and still under the illusion that he was still in his home dimension, Blade tracked down Guillotine in order to kill her for wielding the vampiric sword known as La Fleur du Mal. However, Doctor Strange convinced him not to do so by revealing that, like him, Guillotine used her powers to fight evil. Blade then joined Doctor Strange, Gamora, Mordo, Nebula, and the Summoner in their quest to find and save Guillotine from Thanos.
After locating Guillotine, who had managed to escape from Thanos, and breaking Thanos' influence over her, Blade and his companions were confronted by Morningstar.[2]
