  • "Delloran Revisited" is a chapter of Jim Starlin's Metamorphosis Odyssey, a story which eventually led to the long-running Dreadstar franchise.
    • Tom Orzechowski did letters on the Metamorphosis Odyssey stories according to the Dynamite Entertainment-Hardcover Dreadstar: The Beginning which was overseen by Jim Starlin himself.
  • "The Dreaming City (Part II)" is adapted from the novella "The Dreaming City" by English author Michael Moorcock.
    • This is the last chapter of "The Dreaming City" that will appear in Epic Illustrated, even though the story is not completed. The continuation/conclusion of the story appears in Marvel Graphic Novel #2 instead.
  • "Almuric: Episode Three" is adapted from the novel Almuric by American author Robert E. Howard.
  • "Sleeping Dogs" is adapted from the short story "Sleeping Dogs" by American author Harlan Ellison. It is part of his Earth-Kyba War series of short stories.
