Alternate timeline diverged from Earth-616 when Thor used Mjolnir to travel back in time to the moment Abomination tried to convince him to aid him against the Stranger.
In this timeline Thor fought the Stranger on the Stranger's World but was betrayed by the Abomination. Sif came to his rescue. To prevent the Stranger's attention turning to Asgard, Thor went back in time.[1]See Also
