History
Draburg was a small European country bordering Belarus, Poland and Ukraine.[1] For some time, it had official contact with other countries, including the United States, thou a visa was required for Americans travelling to Draburg. An American female student went to Draburg on a student visa, fell in love with the country and its people, and eventually married local Mr. Meer and had a son with him, Max.[2]
Eventually Draburg opened relations with Israel, with Mr. Meer becoming the first Draburgan ambassador to Israel. He travelled there with his family; then-thirteen-year-old Max had been complaining about headaches during that time. Simultaneously,[2] superhuman precognitive Delphi, member of the Pantheon, foresaw an alternate future where Max Meer apocalyptically took over the world. Pantheon leader Agamemnon sent his agent Achilles to Israel with orders to kill teenage Max so as to prevent this future[2][3] (which he attempted to do the Ben Gurion Airport, but was stopped by Israeli superagent Sabra),[2] and later sent the Hulk to stop Achilles and try to find a non-lethal alternative, as a way to test his minions.[2][3] Israel assigned Sabra, considered the country's top agent, to protect the Meer family.[2][4]
Soon after reaching Jerusalem, Max Meer met Gretta Rabin, daughter of Mr. Meer's Knesset contact Izzy Rabin.[2] Gretta had mind control powers she channeled through Max, in an insidious plan to take over the world using Max as her puppet.[5] Max and Gretta were however chased by Achilles, Hulk and others through Jerusalem, and in the end Achiles made sure that Max was trampled by a mind-controlled crowd, ending up comatose. Agamemnon falsely told Hulk that Max was recovering in a hospital; yet Gretta sat up with Max,[5] swearing he'd recover and use her powers to take over the world.[2][3]
Alternate Realities[]
Earth-TRN263 (Max Meer Dictator)[]
Per a prophecy foreseen by Delphi, in three or four decades into the future, Max Meer mobilized Draburg to turn it into one of the most devasting war machines the Earth had ever known.[2][6] In a chaotic way, Meer's dictatorship and military forces, with high-technology weaponry and helmets, crushed mankind and freedom became a forgotten concept. No hero remained alive, and Meer became a Dictator.[2] It's highly likely that this happened due to Gretta Rabin channeling her mind-control powers through Meer and using him as a puppet to rule herself from behind the throne.[5] On Earth-616, Max Meer ended in a comatose state after an encounter with the Pantheon, yet Gretta Rabin still intended to use him for her insidious plans after he recovered.[5] It is unclear whether Meer recovered, or whether this alternate future has been avoided.Points of Interest
