Quote1 All my life, every time I've ever believed in anything, or had faith that the future would get better for me, I've had that false hope knocked out of me... and found myself back on my knees in despair. I have nothing left to believe in or to live for... not even myself. Nick, give me your gun. Goodbye, Nick. Quote2

Synopsis for "Who Remembers Scorpio? Part Three: Scorpio Must Die!"

The Defenders battle Scorpio's LMD Zodiac army, with the added boost of Moon Knight and the Hulk. Meanwhile, and thanks to the fact that his strength doubles at night, Nighthawk frees himself and joins the battle. The Defenders gain the upper hand and seemingly destroy the Zodiac androids set against them. Moon Knight and Jack Norriss run seeking Zodiac, while this, wrought with despair over his loss, Scorpio orders the LMD of Nick Fury to hand him a gun, and promptly shoots himself in the head.

Notes

  • Art assist by Royer, Tartaglione and Cockrum (credited on page 31).
  • Letters (story pages): Saladino (uncredited) page 1, Costanza pages 2-17.
  • During the battle, Hellcat's costume is severely damaged, necessitating the first of several replacements - contradicting the common belief that the suit somehow gave her enhanced abilities.
