Synopsis for "The Debt!"Edit

Continued from last issue.... With the pilot of Roman Nekoboh's jet shot, and Dazzler unable to fly the plane, Alison straps everyone up in parachutes and they all abandon plane. Using her light powers she attracts the attention of the police who rescue the trio and bring them to a hospital. There Nekoboh is treated like a king.

Returning to Nick Brown's mansion, he offers her even more if she dumps her old manager Harry Osgood and take him on as her agent. Offering her fame, fortune and drugs, Alison is disgusted at the proposition and decides to leave, Lois still wanting to get to know her father decides to stay behind. Leaving L.A. Dazzler picks up a ride from comic book editor Ralph Macchio who is on his way to San Diego to attend a comic book convention. He generously gives her some money to help her find a place to stay for the night.

Elsewhere, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a group of soldiers meet and a squad is sent by their general to tackle a person of interest that they believe is a threat: Alison Blaire.

Meanwhile at the New York office of Marvel Comics, the assistant editors realize that they now rule the roost and Bob Harris decides to take advantage of the situation. Back in San Diego, Dazzler has found herself a room at the YWCA what she should do next. Finding a pay phone she calls Harry Osgood in New York and asks for a cash advance, which Harry -- due to Dazzler's recent success -- can gleefully arrange.

Dazzler then goes to the comic book convention to pay Ralph back for his kindness. At the same time the military soldiers have arrived with a device that will make the powers of any mutant in the vicinity run wild. This plan backfires, as one of their own men, Zalme, a latent mutant himself transforms into a giant lizard creature and rampages through the convention.

Dazzler uses her mutant powers to stop the creature which is stopped when the convention centre crumbles to the ground. Allison finds Ralph in the rubble and pays him back before looking for her attacker. With no trace of the monster, she assumes that it reverted back to human form and fled the scene.

Ralph meanwhile finds a pay phone to call Marvel Comics head office, where Bob Harris is making editorial decisions left and right. However when he receives the call from Ralph, it takes the wind out of his sails and he tells the rest gathered around him to never mind his ideas.
