Synopsis for "In the Kingpin's Clutches"Edit

Matt goes undercover and joins the Kingpin's gang so he can steal the info Fisk has collected on the underworld. Kingpin catches him in the act and beats him senseless. During the Kingpin's exchange with the men holding his wife, Vanessa is apparently killed.

  • This issue contains a letters page, Let's Level With Daredevil. Letters are published from John Zuber, Jr., Kevin E. Patterson, T.M. Maple, Mike Lansley, and Mike Stafford. Responses from Frank Miller.
  • After a prolonged letter page crusade (and one would imagine increased sales), this month Daredevil achieves "Monthly" publishing status.
