Synopsis for "I Found Monstrom!"

A writer takes his family to Bayou country to begin work on a new novel, but his son encounters a monster in the swamp. The monster is distracted when an alligator bites his leg, so the father and son flee while the monster finishes off the gator. The man drives into town to warn the sheriff, but is scoffed at, until a neighbor backs up his story. When the monster arrives, they find their weapons ineffective, but the creature shies away from fire, and so they drive it back to the quicksand bog in the swamp. Unknown to everyone involved, the creature meant no harm, and was merely seeking aid to repair his damaged spacecraft sunk under the bog.

Synopsis for "I Dared to Look into the Beyond!"

In the year 2050 time travel is routine, but only into the past. A scientist is frustrated with this limitation and so he attempts to build a machine that will take him to the year 3050. He succeeds in building the machine despite his colleagues' entreaties to give up what they perceive as madness as he will only end up disintegrating himself by attempting to travel into what does not yet exist. When he steps out of the machine, he assumes that his colleagues were correct and that he has failed and merely traveled far into the distant past because everything is desolate. He returns to 2050 not having noticed a stone memorial that states in the year 3045 the entire population of Earth left the planet in order to relocate.
