History

Vs. a giant Kree Sentry

The Colossus of Rhodes was a massive, mechanical construct used by Archimedes of the Brotherhood of the Shield to defend the island of Rhodes against the attack of a Kree Sentry in 226 BC. Though Archimedes managed to defeat the Sentry, the Colossus was destroyed in the process.

Properties

The Colossus was manually piloted by Archimedes from the inside. While it was not as durable as a Kree Sentry, it was strong enough to punch a hole right through one.

Trivia

• The real-life Colossus of Rhodes was destroyed by an earthquake in 226 BC. In Marvel Comics, this is attributed to a Kree Sentry attack.
