History
Doctor Doom developed this knock-out gas and built rocket missiles to launch it. The gas was so effective that it could even go through Doctor Doom's Armor.[1]
At one point, the Red Skull and his allies took over Doctor Doom's Castle taking advantage of Doom's temporary vacation. When Doom returned, the Skull and his allies turned Doom's weapons against him. The Skull personally manned the rocket gun and shot the rocket to Doom. This was enough to stun Doom enough time to tie him. Of course, Doom released himself soon afterward.[1]Notes
Probably Doctor Doom improved his armor soon afterward to prevent the Chemi-Sleep Gas to affect him again, but this is unconfirmed.
