History
Hank McCoy's mutation formula was more potent, and his new form as the blue and furry Beast was as savage in mind as appearance. Sensing his former pupil's peril, Professor X send Cyclops, Marvel Girl, and the Angel in an attempt to save him. They found him in Central Park where the Beast attacked them. When Professor X arrived to confront the Beast, Hank was able to muster up his last shreds of human intelligence to surrender. Unable to cure him, the X-Men instead found him a new home in the Savage Land alongside Ka-Zar and Zabu where he can be free.[1]
