This category is for characters who have shared one costumed identity between another. Often this is done to preserve the secret identity of one or more of the characters, or confuse enemies over how many opponents they faced.
Sometimes the characters operated as equal partners for their mutual benefit. The Ladyhawk twins were an example of this, as were Keen Marlow and Brian Falsworth when they were the Mighty Destroyer. Other examples have a primary character who uses others as body doubles for their own benefit. Roderick Kingsley was an excellent example of this, who frequently used the Winkler brainwashing process to make others pose as the Hobgoblin when it suited him.
This category does not include characters who share the same identity without posing as one another (such as Clint Barton and Kate Bishop) or when the identity is openly contested between two parties, like the original Avengers and Dark Avengers.Trending pages
