History
Little is detailed about the Captain's life before the zombies plague arrived on Earth-2149, however it is presumed that it followed much the same path as the Captain of Earth-616.
Captain, along with the Nextwave, saves Ash from a zombified Power Pack. While still uninfected, they then cause a massive explosion to dispatch of Power Pack and some of the zombie horde. The team is then killed by the remaining zombies in what is described as "the most humiliating and degrading way possible".[1]Attributes
Powers
- The Captain possesses what are by his discription a "generic set of special super hero abilities" as a result of possessing the Heartstar.
- Superhuman Strength: The Heartstar augments the Captain's physical strength to high superhuman levels. At his peak, he can lift approximately 95 tons.
- Superhuman Stamina: The Captain's augmented musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a normal human. While the full limits of his stamina aren't known, he can at least exert himself at peak capacity for several hours without tiring.
- Superhuman Durability: The Heartstar has augmented the Captain's bodily tissues, making them more resistant to physical injury than the tissues of a normal human. He can withstand high caliber bullets, falls from great heights, powerful energy blasts, and great impact forces without sustaining injury.
- Superhuman Sight: The Captain's sight has been augmented by the Heartstar, allowing him to see much further and with greater clarity than an ordinary human.
- Flight: The Captain is able to propel himself through the air for extended periods of time. The maximum speed he can reach while in flight isn't exactly known, but it is known to be significantly lower than the Speed of Sound.
