The Cabal is one of the several existing teams from throughout the Multiverse whose members were taken to Battlerealm to be put at the disposal of the participants of the Contest of Champions.
History
In his efforts to conquer the Battlerealm, the Red Skull assembled a collection of malevolent super-geniuses to take over control of its many criminal organizations, and recover the Cosmic Cube that had been stolen from him by the Asgardians so he could create an army of Adaptoids using a machine he had buried long ago. His plans, however, were thwarted by the Summoner and the Avengers.
