One of the several minions of the so-called Master of Freaks, who appared to be hideous, Bruno served as his majordomo and followed the Master's policies without discussion - including the one about destroying beauty. Bruno and other "freaks" helped guiding Frankenstein's Monster to the Master's lair[1] to recruit him - but the Monster refused and was chained to the dungeons.[1]
Bruno then helped kidnapping Julia Winters, a woman who had rejected the Master's romantic approach. Bruno was disgruntled at having to tie Julia for the Master to torture her. When the Master revealed his real face to Julia, Bruno and the other freaks discovered that the Master was handsome. Bruno then tried to stop the Master from hurting Julia with a torch, but the Master reacting by burning Bruno to death - something that the other freaks disliked. The freaks united against the Master and killed him, while Frankenstein's Monster escaped with Julia.[2]
