History

The armor used by Mickey Quaid was described as "Blizzard Armor Mark III".[1]

Properties

  • Cold Generation: The Blizzard wore a battlesuit containing micro circuited cryogenic units (micro-cryostats) that enabled him to project an intense cold through the ducts that encircled his gloves. With the freezing units at full capacity, the Blizzard could lower the temperature of a twenty by twenty foot room 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 32 degrees Fahrenheit in thirty seconds.[2]
    • Ice Generation: Also integrated into the lining of his sleeves was a system of flexible tubing that carried water to miniature electric turbines in his gloves. By emitting the water as a mist and freezing it with his micro-cryostat units, he could create snow flurries. By emitting it as a spray, he could create sleet. By emitting it as a stream, he could create icicles. By concentrating both gloves' power on a single stream of water, he could create a super-dense ice-darts, capable of being flung with enough force to dent half-inch thick steel. The water and cold ducts were capable of shooting a steam of snow with a maximum range of fifteen feet. The Blizzard was able to encase people in a layer of frost or to create an ice-slide beneath him.[2]
  • Cold Immunity: Blizzard's battlesuit was fully insulated so that he was immune to the effects of his weaponry. He carried the power-unit for his microcircuitry on his back.[2]

Alternate Reality Versions

Image Description Appearances
Donald Gill (Earth-12041) from Ultimate Spider-Man (animated series) Season 1 5 001 On Earth-12041, this version of the Blizzard Armor appears to be lower tech compared to the original, it is more akin to a winter attire covering the entire body, likely to protect the wearer from any frostbite caused by the suits cryogenic functions. It consists of a backpack with tubes connecting to his hands where he shoots out cold beams. Ultimate Spider-Man (animated series) Season 1 3

  • Blizzard Suit: Blizzard relies on a technological suit that lets him generate and focus intense cold. The suit can withstand sub-zero temperatures and grants him enhanced strength.
    • Ice Blaster: The blaster on the suit's right arm can generate ice blasts, shards, freeze grenades, an "ice fist" to punch highly durable opponents, and produce a "sphere" of intense cold. His blaster has been upgraded in season two to hold liquid helium (the coldest substance in the world). He can also create solid ice paths in the air for rapid transit.
    • Ice Bombs: He has ice bombs that can encase a target in ice.[citation needed]
